Marine Accident and Incident Investigation training
Discover the core knowledge needed to carry out accident and incident investigation and reporting.
Tell me moreThe Port Marine Safety Code (PMSC) recommends that Harbour Authorities and marine facilities operate under a Marine Safety Management System (MSMS) in order to reduce risk to As Low As Reasonable Practicable (ALARP).
Marine Risk Management is an integral part to any MSMS and underpins the guiding ethos of the PMSC.
A comprehensive understanding of hazards, risks and mitigations within the marine environment allows for effective identification and control. Robust risk management provides a safe and efficient operation, fulfilling the requirements of the PMSC and promoting industry best practice.
This course provides a systematic framework for the categorisation and control of marine risk.
Our experienced Maritime team provide examples from across the industry to give context to risk control mechanisms and their application to different forms of marine facility.
Through delivery of this course, ports, harbours and marine facilities are able to understand the risks under their responsibility, how to control them and mitigate to As Low As Reasonable Practicable.
Anyone who is being tasked with the management of marine risk or has a duty to provide a safe operational environment within a marine facility.
