Marine advice for Trinidad and Tobago EMA

Supporting the Trinidad and Tobago EMA with oil and gas application review services

Since 2004 we have been a specialist adviser to the Environment Management Authority (EMA) of Trinidad and Tobago, regularly reviewing applications from the Oil and Gas Sector for new exploration and production facilities.

We review the detailed studies and assessments undertaken by the proposing operator (e.g. oil spill dispersion studies, drill cutting assessment) to ensure that impact on the marine environment has been adequately assessed, enabling the EMA to issue a Certificate of Environmental Clearance.

We also assisted with the development of the EMA’s practioners guide on how to undertake Environmental Impact Assessment in the coastal and marine environment, incorporating impacts from Oil and Gas Industry.
