Assets at the coast may be at risk from coastal erosion and/or flooding. Understanding how the coastal zone will evolve with a changing climate is key to effectively managing such risks.

We were asked to evaluate the long-term geomorphology of the coast fronting all former British Energy sites to understand the risk posed by coastal change. Our experienced Modelling Team used a number of evolution modelling techniques to determine how the coast would respond to any environmental and physical change.

Our findings were used to inform the long term protection of EDF’s assets.
