Port Taranaki, located on New Zealand’s west coast of the North Island, is a key deep water import and export port, handling a wide diversity of cargoes.

ABPmer was contacted by Port Taranaki to provide a pro-active approach to port risk management solution. We customised our MARNIS Toolkit prototype software, developed in partnership with European ports under an EU Interreg project, to meet the needs of the port.

The MARNIS ‘Port Assessment Toolkit’ has been designed as a pragmatic marine risk management software package to help the professional mariner, Harbour Master and Port Safety Officer meet and exceed industry standards on risk management. The MARNIS Toolkit provides risk assessment creation and review, accident/ incident logging, and Key Performance Indicator reporting. A customisation service can be provided by ABPmer along with technical support, product upgrades and help desk.
