Environment, Social and Health Assessment for Repsol
Supporting the submission of CEC applications for a proposed drilling programme
Repsol had acquired acreage off the east coast of Trinidad and wished to develop other fields within the lease block.
ABPmer with Environmental Services Ltd (Trinidad) were commissioned to prepare an Environmental, Social and Health Assessment (ESHA) to support the submission of Certificate of Environmental Clearance (CEC) applications for Repsol’s proposed drilling programme.
To accommodate Repsol’s intensive CEC application programme, we took a strategic approach to the assessments. Having completed a literature review we established where there were data gaps and set about filling them with a block-wide rolling survey programme running a number of parallel sub-projects to ‘fast-track’ specific data requirements. This enabled preparing a baseline that could be used both for block wide and project specific applications.
