To ensure clients continue to make decisions based on robust, cost effective metocean data and analysis, we have further refined our SEASTATES metocean information across Northeast Asia.
Enhancing regional model resolution, along with simulating winds and waves associated with historical tropical cyclones, has provided further characterisation of the meteorological and oceanographic processes.
The 40-year metocean hindcast database derived from this work is regularly used for site characterisation and workability assessments. It can also be used to inform engineering design and programme planning.
As with other SEASTATES updates, the validation summary associated with the Northeast Asia model is available for download from ABPmer’s metocean information website.
