Metocean Services

Having the most up-to-date climatic conditions for a given location is essential to ensuring safe and efficient design, construction or operation of facilities and structures offshore or at the coast.

ABPmer’s metocean information service SEASTATES was developed in 2010 to characterise past and near-future wave environments to a higher spatial and temporal resolution than other market products and to better inform metocean studies over large or complex areas.

Our hindcast (past weather) database provides validated historic metocean data back to 1979. We use this exclusive long time series to provide design criteria such as extreme wave height, as well as to undertake weather downtime analysis to enable safe and efficient marine operations anywhere in the world.
