GeoCom 17 is the Association for Geographic Information’s annual conference, being held at the Royal Geographical Society in Kensington, London, this Thursday 26 October.
The event will bring together thought leaders, forward-thinking individuals and businesses to explore this year’s theme: Smart Geospatial - the impact of geospatial on the emerging digital economy. Throughout the day a range of speakers will talk about emerging geospatial technologies, policies, strategies and deployments.
Each year GeoCom is organised by people working within the geospatial industry, across different sectors who use geospatial data on a daily basis. Dan Williamson, marine geospatial data analyst at ABPmer, is part of the AGI Events Action Working Group that is responsible for organising GeoCom 17. If you see Dan on the day, be sure to say hello!
There isn’t long left to register but if you are interested in attending, tickets can also be purchased on the door, click here for more info.
If you can’t make GeoCom 17 but are interested in learning how geospatial data processing and analysis can be applied to better understand and manage the marine environment, we offer a three-day Introduction to Coastal and Marine GIS training course.
The course is designed for anyone that needs to understand marine data, and its application within a GIS environment to support decision-making.
There are still a couple of places remaining on our November course (7-9 Nov 2017). For more information and how to book visit:
